MIT IDE co-lead, Alex “Sandy” Pentland, is among the expert contributors to Remaking the World – The Age of Global Enlightenment. The book is a joint initiative by the Boston Global Forum and the United Nations Academic Impact as part of the United Nations Centennial Initiative. Pentland has two articles in the book: The Cycle of Prosperity: Ensuring Equal Opportunity, and, Our Digital Future: from the Internet to the Interledger.
Additionally, Pentland was recently a lead speaker at the Boston Global Forum, presenting about Community Innovation Economy (CIE) and discussing an AI International Accord – Toward an Age of Global Enlightenment. The CIE is a concept conceived by Pentland and Nguyen Anh Tuan, CEO of the Boston Global Forum. This concept also will be presented and discussed at the Policy Lab An AI International Accord – Toward an Age of Global Enlightenment, co-organized by Club de Madrid and Boston Global Forum September 7-9, 2021.
